The Activities Council of Thomson has announced the date for the 24th Annual Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival. Make plans to join us in the pasture on May 6, 2017. The line up is still in development so, stay tuned for more info.

The Blind Willie McTell Blues Festival began in 1993, to honor the music and spirit of Blind Willie McTell. The festival has been going strong ever since, and is still staged in the same grassy field it debuted in.

When you are in Thomson, don’t miss McTell’s 12-String Strut, a public art display of 12 imaginatively painted guitars that grace the McDuffie County area; all to honor our hometown blues legend, Blind Willie McTell. A map of the locations can be found here.
